ARK Helps Fight Proposed Ethanol Transfer Station

The Altamaha Riverkeeper worked with community members to help fight against a proposed ethanol transfer station in an already contaminated area near Bond Swamp in Macon. The Macon-Bibb Planning and Zoning Commission ultimately denied a conditional-use permit on that site to allow a rail spur to transfer ethanol from Norfolk Southern rail cars to Epic’s pipeline.
